This is a perfect example of what I’ve been saying for years and been severely criticized on here for pointing out by uber-defensive customer service types. (I was Gabriel on the old forums.)
This really doesn’t surprise me given the kind of bottom-of-the-barrel type people Wal-Mart, Rally’s, McDonald’s, Kroger and others hire because they do virtually no screening for history of violent criminal offenses.
Once I had some gangster-punk employee at Rally’s threaten me for no other reason than I took a few extra seconds to check my order and make sure it was right. He didn’t like this because he was being timed. BTW, the order wasn’t right.
I’m to the point that I very rarely patronize such franchises because they don’t screen these kind of people out.
From what I understand the walmart girls were pissed that the friend was wanting to go over their heads instead of just cowering to them.
The lady had bought a couple of rugs took them home and washed them. Then rugs were falling apart after one washing and never been used at all. All the lady wanted to do was exchange the rugs. She had her receipt. The service girl said she couldn’t since they had been washed. They went back and forth for awhile and the friend asked to speak with the manager. Well the girl said she was not calling the manager and on down the line it went. Finally after about 10 more mins the girl called the manager on the phone, hung up and told the friend that it was no. The friend said she wanted to speak to the manager herself. So they go through the “I’m not calling the manager” thing again all the way down the line of the clerks there. Finally a manager walks up and asked what the problem was. It was explained to him and he said whats the problem? She has her receipt , exchange them.
The friend said that since there has been so much trouble over this she just wanted her money back. The manager said to refund the money. The manager walked into the back room there.
The clerk said she couldn’t refund the money because there weren’t any tags. The friend said that they cold just get another like it for the price. The clerk said she wasn’t going to do that. So the friend went back and got another rug but not the same color and took it up to the service desk. The clerk said it wasn’t the same. It was pointed out that it was the same except for the color. The clerk said she couldn’t refund the money. The friend said to get the manager. Of course they went through the “I ain’t getting the manage.” thing. So the friend said she would get him since he had just walked threw the doors there. She didn’t even get past the desk when the clerk body slmaed her into the wal twice. The friend was laying on the floor at this point and before she could say fuck all 5 girls were on top of her beating her up. Her husband was with her and happened to turn around ran over and finally got one off then 2 managers came out and yelled “what are you doing?!?” and tried getting the girls off, by this time 2 security guards came and had to restrain the girls to keep them from going after this friend.
The friend asked for the police because she was pressing charges.
The friend has Thyroid problems , the girls had pulled clunps of hair out which will never grow back. She also now can’t stand to be alone especially out in public.
She had called my daughter to find out how we had gotten our Yorkies certified support dogs because she is in need of some help when she goes out. She is also seeing a psychiatrist and on meds over this whole shitty thing.
Oh the walmart girls were fired.
If it were me I would own those girls and walmart but that is me.

{Ahem}, my wife works for Wal-Mart & I am a former employee there as well.
While I know nothing about other Wal-Marts, the main problems with our’s are mainly management related(see past entries in my blog) not mean associates.

I agree with you i would OWN that store and those girls. Also make sure they were made a misserable as they made me feel.
Stupid things like that in Customer service of any kind pisses me off to no end. I ve been on both sides so i know how to deal with situations but that whole thing was COMPLETELY uncalled for. Thank goodness besides being a little slow most of the people that work at our local wally worlds are psycotic asshats like those girls
I wonder if those walmart girls think its worth it to go to jail for assult over a few rugs and a refund… Maybe theyll all become big birthas bitches HAHA!

She is a friends of my daughter and now is having problems being alone from the incident.
